Rick Ross Delays
'Mastermind' Release Date
The boss of Maybach Music Group says that he's 'still
putting final touches' on his sixth studio album that is now expected to arrive
next year
Back in October, Rick Ross announced that
his long-awaited new album entitled "Mastermind"
would be released on December 17. However, the rapper has just revealed that
his sixth studio effort won't arrive as scheduled.
In a recent interview on SiriusXM's Hip-Hop Nation, the boss of Maybach Music Group said that he had pushed back the album's release date to 2014. "I'm still putting final touches on the album," he said.
"To me, making that classic is more important than anything, making sure the streets [are] overwhelmed by what I'm doing," he explained. "I'm trying to get it to you soon."
Just a few days ago Ross dropped the remix of "No Games", the first single off his "Mastermind". It features fellow MMG rappers Wale and Meek Mill, as well as the original guest Future.
While his own LP is still in the works, Ross has worked with his MMG artists to release a compilation album called "Self MAde Vol. 3". The record debuted and peaked at No. 4 on Billboard 200 back in September.
