Eminem Will Release New Album This Fall

A new report has suggested that the 44-year-old rapper is going to release the follow-up to 2013's 'The Marshall Mathers LP' later this year.

Rejoice, stans! Eminem's ninth studio album may come sooner than we thought. While the rapper has been quite secretive of the new effort, a speculation of its release date has sparked. According to HITS Daily Double, the long-awaited album will make its way out via Shady/Aftermath/Interscope this fall. Other acts who are said to be releasing albums later this year include Taylor Swift and Sam Smith.

Last month, "The Defiant Ones" director Allen Hughes revealed that Eminem was working on a new song with his longtime mentor Dr. Dre. "Dre still records. People don't know this: Dre records everyday. Literally, he's in there recording songs everyday," Allen said. "He's like Picasso in that way. He's always painting. Right now he's producing, in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem's latest album. So Dre's still real active in music."

2 Chainz also hinted at his involvement on the follow-up to "The Marshall Mathers LP", saying, "He let me hear this song and it was funny. I heard some things in there where his vernacular was 2 Chainz-y. It was crazy." However, the "Good Drank" spitter later claimed that he didn't "know anything" about the collaboration.

Aside from music, Em is working on a movie project. The Detroit emcee will serve as a producer in the upcoming rap comedy film "Bodied". It features a number of battle rapper, including Loaded Lux, Hollow Da Don and Dumbfoundead. The movie will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
