The Spanish Baroque-style mansion boasts 13,292 square feet, 26-foot high ceilings and three separate apartments, each of which is around 1,000 square feet. According to Variety, the property was quietly sold in January to a corporate entity which links back to a Los Angeles address associated with Beyonce's management company, Parkwood Entertainment.
The property features "hardwood floors, high ceilings, great interior design including floor to ceiling columns, split level for privacy, all kinds of nooks and crannies to hide with a book, ceiling fans, lots of closets, washer and dryer, and dishwasher." It has a total of 22 rooms which includes seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The church's former main altar turned into a dining room and the choir loft was transformed into a master suite.
Beyonce and Jay-Z are regularly seen in New Orleans. They were in town for Solange Knowles' wedding last year. Solange owns a fashion and lifestyle boutique in a French Quarter in the city called Exodus Goods.
