The 29-year-old singer has hosted a private screening of the animated film 'to treat residents to a night of fun and help take their minds off' the horrible tragedy.
Adele has a heart of gold. While she's taking some time off from the music industry, the songstress has dedicated her time to help the victims of Grenfell Tower blaze. A few days ago, she showed her generous side yet again by hosting a private screening of animated film "Despicable Me 3" to give the young survivors and their families "a night of fun."
The "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker organized the event at Whiteley's cinema in Queensway, London and invited several real-life Minions to make the event more special. Rocking a low-key look, Adele took a number of children who survived the blaze to the cinema.
"Adele sees her work in the community as a full-time priority now her touring days are over for the foreseeable future," a source told The Sun. "Being a local Londoner, she's made no secret about how personally affected she was by the Grenfell Tower blaze and wants to help in every way she can."
"While she's working hard behind the scenes to raise cash, she wanted to treat residents to a night of fun and help take their minds off what happened and organized a private viewing of the brand new 'Despicable Me 3' movie," the source added. "Everyone was overwhelmed by her generosity."
Adele has been raising funds for the blaze victims since June. Just a few hours after the horrible tragedy, the songstress appeared on the scene to comfort the victims and urge people to donate items for the survivors. Days after the fire, the mother-of-one quietly visited some heroic firefighters who were involved in the incident.
