Rihanna finally gives new updates on her eighth studio album, which is tentatively titled "R8". The Bajan beauty, who graces the cover of NME's new free magazine, discusses how far she is from finishing the anticipated LP and teases that the project will be worth the long wait in an accompanying interview.
"To me it's never done until it's done," she tells the magazine. "Until the final moment." She goes on to promise "something great" from the album because she knows there have been millions of fans eagerly waiting for it.
"No matter what I post online, within three comments there's somebody saying, 'Where is R8?' " she continues. "I could post anything. Nothing else matters. They don't care about anything but that. But it makes me excited, because I can't wait to give them something great."
As previously reported, RiRi has been working on "R8" with none other than Kanye West. Asked what takes her so long to get the record done, she explains that the continuous delay has something to do with her and the rapper's busy schedules.
"We just have to wait to get back in the studio together," she shares. "His schedule and mine are totally opposite right now, but I think this month we'll be back in the studio."
"R8" will be RiRi's first full-length since 2012's "Unapologetic". Having been expected to come out later this year, it has so far spawned "FourFiveSeconds" featuring West and Sir Paul McCartney, "B**ch Better Have My Money" and "American Oxygen".
