Miley Cyrus' Next Album Will Reportedly Be 'Experimental' and 'Not Very Good'

Previous reports said the former Disney star wanted to put out the 'Bangerz' follow-up for free and was prepared to buy herself out of RCA if the label disagreed with the plan.

Miley Cyrus has been working hard on a joint album with The Flaming Lips as well as her next solo effort. While the Lips frontman Wayne Coyne recently hinted that their collaborative record was nearly done, not much has been revealed about the follow-up to Cyrus' 2013 set "Bangerz".

However, a few new details of the latter project have just been unveiled in a report by HitsDailyDouble. The site says that Cyrus will self-produce the LP, which sources close to her have described as "experimental" and, unfortunately, "not very good."

Previously, Cyrus said in an interview with Marie Claire that she planned to release what will be her fifth full-length for free. "I make [music] because I like it," the former Disney princess, who covered the magazine's September issue, said as reported by BuzzFeed. "And then I put it out to the public, because there are some people out there who like it too."

Her manager Adam Leber confirmed the plan and was quoted as saying, "If RCA wasn't down the gratis plan, she was prepared to buy herself out of the label."

So far, there's still no official word on when the still-untitled album will hit the stores.
