2015: Asari Dokubo Dares President Jonathan

The leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, NDPVF, Mujahid Dokubo-Asari has dared President Goodluck Jonathan not to re-contest for Presidency come 2015.

The former militant said this statement during an interview he had with Silverbird television, stating that President Jonathan ‘cannot’ say he is not contesting for the presidency in next year’s general elections.

It would be recalled that President Jonathan was reported to have officially made the long-awaited declaration to run for re-election in 2015 while speaking with leaders of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday.

The PDP had asked Jonathan, who had been earlier elected as a sole party candidate, to buy the expression of interest and nomination forms by October 30 if he planned to participate in the elections.

Meanwhile, the PDP primaries are scheduled for December 6.
