Timbaland's Wife
Monique Mosley Files for Divorce
After ten years together, five of which were spent as a married couple, Timbaland's
wife Monique Mosley has filed for divorce from the record producer. Claiming
that she is dead broke, Mosley wants her hit maker husband, who's reportedly
worth $80 million, to pay for everything, including child support for a kid he did not father.
In the divorce documents she filed with the court, Mosley is asking for child support for her and Timbaland's 5-year-old daughter Reign as well as for her 10-year-old child from a previous relationship. Mosley argues that Timbaland has "publicly and privately proclaimed this child as his own," making him the father by default.
Mosley is seeking money for life insurance, private school, summer camp, vacations and other expenses for her two children. As for spousal support, she is demanding a lump sum to be paid to cover rehabilitative alimony and permanent alimony. Claiming that she even had to borrow money from a friend in order to pay her lawyer in filing the divorce papers, Mosley wants Timbaland to shoulder the lawyer's professional fees throughout the divorce proceedings.
With a vast fortune amassed from producing some of the highest-grossing chart-topping albums and dishing out hit songs for such artists as Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Ludacris, LL Cool J, and Missy Elliot, Timbaland will have no trouble footing the bill, so to speak, after the divorce is finalized.
