VIDEO: Jermaine Dupri Introduces Vegan Lifestyle In New PETA Video

Hip-hop hitmaker Jermaine Dupri is urging his fans to go vegan as part of a campaign with the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

The star appears in the animal rights organisation's new Feel the Beets and Lose the Meats video, aimed at educating food lovers about the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle.

"I want the world to know the vegan lifestyle, to me, is the best lifestyle," he says in the video. "I feel like anybody that has a problem with their energy level being right, tired all the time, you can definitely feel the difference. A vegan lifestyle puts you on that track to just be healthy."

Dupri follows in the footsteps of many celebrities who have gone vegan - they include Sir Paul McCartney, Morrissey, Ellen DeGeneres, Miley Cyrus, Kate Mara, Kevin Smith, RZA, and Outcast star Andre 3000.
