Mariah Carey was among the latest celebrities falling victim to burglar(s). They reportedly broke into her mansion in Los Angeles through a window or door on the upper floor. A ladder was found in the backyard. They stole $50k worth of purses and sunglasses.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's home in Bel Air was also targeted by a thief. The man caught on surveilance camera never entered the house, but he trashed the cars at the end of the driveway. He ran off with an iPhone which belonged to the staffer before he was chased off by a guard.
It's unclear whether or not Kim and Kanye were home when the incident happened on Friday, but the guy also targeted the house next door owned by Kathy Griffin. The man didn't enter the house either. He ransacked a car parked on the driveway and allegedly stole a purse which was later ditched nearby.
No suspects have been arrested. Mariah Carey and Kim Kardashian join the growing list of burglary victims that included Jason Derulo, Alanis Morissette, David Spade, Emmy Rossum and Scott Disick.
Several years ago, a group of teenagers and young adults was on a crime spree targetting celebrities' homes in Calabasas, California. Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr, Brian Austin Green & Megan Fox, and Lindsay Lohan were among their victims.
Their story was turned into a movie called "The Bling Ring". Written, directed and produced by Sofia Coppola, it stars Katie Chang, Israel Broussard, Emma Watson, Taissa Farmiga and Claire Julien. It was released in 2013, four years after the real-life crime spree ended in 2009.
