Janet Jackson Won't Reunite With Justin Timberlake at 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show

The 'Love Will Never Do' songstress reportedly won't perform at the sports league championship's stage due to scheduling conflicts.

Following Justin Timberlake's headliner announcement for 2018 Super Bowl halftime show, people are questioning whether Janet Jackson will reunite with the "Mirror" singer or not. Well, it looks like the 51-year-old singer will not return to the event's stage.

Timberlake and Jackson once performed together at 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, where the "Friends with Benefits" star accidentally ripped off a part of Jackson's costume and exposed the "Escapade" songstress' bare breast. The incident immediately went viral, resulting in people calling it the "nipplegate" incident.

An insider told E! News that Jackson didn't have any plan to perform at the Super Bowl, while another insider claimed that she had scheduling conflicts due to her tour. It was also revealed that the "Rhythm Nation" singer would still support Timberlake's upcoming performance on February 4.

"She is happy to hear JT is performing and thinks he will be great as always," one source said. "She wishes him a great performance. They had some great memories."

Jackson aside, a second insider revealed that Timberlake would perform his classic stuff at the show, saying that the singer is very excited for the opportunity. "Justin will be playing his old stuff during Super Bowl performance. He plans to perform the 'classic JT stuff,' " the insider stated. "Justin's team has really been pushing to lock in this deal and he's very excited for the opportunity."

In an interview with Sunday Night Football, Timberlake promised that there wouldn't be any wardrobe malfunction again. "That won't happen this time," he said. "There was a little bit of that. But, no, that's not going to happen."

However, it looks like many people are expecting something else. They demand that Timberlake apologize to Jackson instead of singing. A Twitter user wrote, "The only thing I want out of @jtimberlake on the #SuperBowl stage is an apology for ruining @JanetJackson career."
