Ellen DeGeneres showed how much she wanted to be a part of Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" video, which has been viewed over 425 million times on YouTube. The comedienne debuted on her talk show Friday, September 22 an "original" version of the clip which she claimed features her.
"It could have been better. I was in the original, because I'm part of her squad. Apparently she cut me out...I don't know," Ellen told her "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" audience. "She's threatened by me sometimes. Nice try, Tay-Tay, 'cause I got my hands on the real video. So, I'm gonna share it with all of you for the first time."
The spoof sees Ellen sharing a bathtub with Taylor, dripping with jewels and diamonds. At one point, Ellen pretends to be on the other end of phone when Taylor says, "The old Taylor can't come to the phone right now." Ellen asks, "Why?" When Taylor says the "old" Taylor is dead, Ellen responds, "Then who am I playing footsies with?"
Ellen also shows off her own collection of her characters on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", similar to how Taylor confronts her former personas in the actual video. They include Tipsy, Karla Kardashian whom Ellen dubs "a hot mess," a cowboy Ellen, Trixie Ellen who opens her shirt to flaunt her bra and toned abs, and glamorous Ellen among others.
Ellen also spray paints Taylor's airplane with "Be Kind to One Another."
In a more serious note, Ellen urges those who have watched Taylor's "Look What You Made Me Do" music video to donate to hurricane relief efforts. "Her music video for 'Look What You Made Me Do' has been viewed over 425 million times-425 million times! So, this give me an idea-425 million times! Think about that. If you've seen Taylor's music video, put one dollar in an envelope and send it to Hand in Hand hurricane relief," she said of the fundraising campaign. "That's all you have to do-one dollar!"
