Jennifer Lopez on Drake and Dating Younger Men: 'It Has Nothing to Do With Age'

The 47-year-old diva talks about her 'songwriting' relationship with the rapper as well as her tendency to date younger men while appearing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.

Jennifer Lopez has opened up about her love life. The 47-year-old singer stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for the Tuesday, February 21 episode to talk about her "songwriting" relationship with Drake as well as her tendency to date younger men.

Ellen DeGeneres asked J.Lo, "Who did you spent Valentine's Night with?" The host then brought up a picture of Drake and asked, "Was it this guy?" Without blinking her eyes, the "Ain't Your Mama" hitmaker" responded, "No, he's off on tour right now." She added, "We did a song together."

"If you're songwriting, is that how you write a song?" a curious Ellen asked while showing a photo of J.Lo getting cozy on the 30-year-old rapper's lap. "We were not writing a song right at that moment. We were just hanging out," explained the "On the Floor" singer.

J.Lo refused to admit that her relationship with Drake was romantic and insisted it's merely a music collaboration. "Actually he sent me a song that he wanted me to be on, and then I got on the song, and yeah, we have a song together," she told the 59-year-old host.

During her appearance on the talk show, J.Lo also talked about her preference for man. "I don't date younger men. It's not like you have to be younger, it's not about that," she said. "You just meet people and if I go out with them, I go out with them."

"If I like them, I like them and if I don't, I don't," she continued, explaining, "It's just about the person. It's about who they are, it has nothing to do with age."

"I dated Beau [Casper Smart] and he was younger and that was the first guy ever dating younger than me and then I got labeled right away," she said of her dating life, before adding, "If they're older, they're older. If they're younger, they're younger. It doesn't matter. It's whether or not I'm attracted to them or not, attracted to their spirit their soul, whatever their energy is.
