ABOUT  BETHANY BOLA THANI

Bola Thani, otherwise known as BETHANY, an ordained Asst. Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, a wife, mother of four including a beautiful set of twin girls, a former Provincial Choir Director of RCCG, Lagos Province 38 who currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland, is a woman committed to the covenant of worshipping God in spirit and in truth.

A Mass Communication graduate and a successful business woman of repute, Bethany is passionately sold unto the business of God”s praise unconditionally.

Mary worshipped Jesus at Bethany despite the fact that Lazarus was already stinking in the grave. Hopeless situation! But she worshipped. Be-thany preaches one message – WORSHIP GOD NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE PASSING THROUGH. That situation cannot be bigger than God, you know?

“You are the light of the world, A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” Mat. 5: 14–16 NKJV.

These were the words of God spoken specifically to me through my spiritual father, Daddy E. A. Adeboye, during one of the monthly Holy Ghost Services in 2003. The Word of God hit me like I had never heard that portion of the Bible in my entire life. My peace instantly ceased and I began to see the to leave my comfort zone. The thirst, the hunger and the zeal to do more for God overwhelmed me. I just wanted to serve and serve in the music ministry wherever I found myself and just live for Him alone.

I couldn’t instantly come to terms with the Word. I asked God and myself lots of questions. As light, I have to shine (because logically, you can’t be light and not shine). In this case, it is not a matter of a micro shining but a macro shining – to give light to all, to shine before men (and women, and even babes). Personally, I have my reservations for all the glitterati, accolades, fame, noise accorded to stardom. I had chosen to be a silent, but successful business woman and a homemaker but God chose this path for me and He said to me “child, don’t worry about all that, the world would only see your good works and then glorify me”.
