Top celebrities that includes Fathia Balogun, Kemi Afolabi, Yvonne Jegede, Adunni Ade, Dayo Amusa to mention but few all gathered recently at the popular Ketu Shanties to render support to the Kristal Gold Foundation initiatives led by the trio of Taiwo Adebayo (Sheboy), Stella Ajulo and Kuburat Muhammed who are on the move to take un-privileged individuals off the street.
With several relief materials ranging from food items to clothing materials and a scholarship gift to one of the populace, they indeed put a smile on their faces.
Speaking on behalf of the initiators, Stella Ajulo noted that there is need for proper government intervention in some areas in the state where development is lacking behind.
“We at Kristal Gold foundation believes in empowerment and that is the more reason why we are in for proper change,” she said.
Head of the community, Adeniyi Okanlomo, who applauded the effort of the foundation, urged other foundations to intervene too, adding “for the fact that we stay in the slum today does not mean that we are not better than most of them in the cities”.
