Grammy Awards 2016: Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift Dominate Winner List

The rapper wins big with five nods including the Best Music Video Award that he shares with Swift, while the singer takes home the annual awards show's biggest prize, Album of the Year.

The 2016 Grammy Awards was all about Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift. The "Bad Blood" collaborators came out as the biggest winners of the just-wrapped event, which aired live on CBS from Los Angeles' Staples Center.

Lamar, who was up for 11 awards, took home five of them including the Best Rap Album for "To Pimp a Butterfly", Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "These Walls" featuring Bilal, Anna Wise & Thundercat as well as Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for "Alright". He also shared the Best Music Video trophy with Swift for her "Bad Blood" visuals.

In addition to the aforementioned award, Swift claimed two other Grammys for her chart-topping, records-breaking album, "1989". She nabbed the Best Pop Vocal Album as well as the coveted Album of the Year that she won over Lamar's "To Pimp a Butterfly", The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness", Alabama Shakes' "Sound & Color" and Chris Stapleton's "Traveller".

Despite losing the prestigious honor, The Weeknd, Alabama Shakes and Stapleton all walked away with multiple trophies. The Canadian R&B singer won the Best R&B Performance and Best Urban Contemporary Album for "Earned It" and "Beauty Behind the Madness", respectively.

Brittany Howard and Co.'s "Dont Wanna Fight" earned them the Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song as their "Sound & Color" album beat out competitors in Best Alternative Music Album category. Staptleton, meanwhile, ruled both Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance categories with his "Traveller" and its title track

Other big names making up the winner list included Mark Ronson (Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Uptown Funk" feat. Bruno Mars), Ed Sheeran (Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year for "Thinking Out Loud"), Meghan Trainor (Best New Artist), D'Angelo (Best R&B Song for "Really Love" and Best R&B Album for "Black Messiah"), Muse (Best Rock Album for "Drones") and Little Big Town (Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Girl Crush").
