Rihanna Hints at Something Big for Her 10-Year Music Industry Anniversary

'There are a few things I have in mind, so you'll have wait on that,' the Bajan singer says about celebrating her decade-long career.

It's been 10 years since Rihanna first came into the music scene with "Music of the Sun" in 2005. To celebrate her longevity, the Bajan beauty revealed in a new interview that she'd definitely do something at some point this year.

Speaking to The Associated Press while celebrating the release of her newest fragrance "RiRi by Rihanna" in Brooklyn, the singer said that her decade-long career was "a very big deal for me." She added, "There are a few things I have in mind, so you'll have wait on that, but don't think I'm forgetting because this means a lot to me that I made it to 10 years."

Since dropping "Music of the Sun", RiRi has released multiple albums and singles that topped the charts and won her several awards. She's now readying her eighth studio effort which is scheduled to arrive later this year.

Tentatively titled "R8", the follow-up to 2012's "Unapologetic" has been preceded by three singles including the Kanye West and Paul McCartney-assisted "FourFiveSeconds". "New album is going really, really great. We have recorded a lot of songs and I can't wait to finish and put it out. That's my next step," she teased her upcoming LP.
