Drake Opens Nightclub in Toronto in Honor of His Grandparents

The rapper opened his Toronto nightclub in memory of his grandparents Rueben and Evelyn Sher, naming it SherClub after them.

Drake opened a nightclub in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. Dedicating the club to his late grandparents Rueben and Evelyn Sher, the rapper named the club SherClub after them.

The Canadian rapper took to Instagram last weekend to pay tribute to his grandparents while announcing the new club. "Rest in peace to my grandparents Rueben and Evelyn Sher," so he wrote alongside a picture of him standing at the new club's entrance.

He added, "My grandmother was the first person to ever play catch with me and my grandfather was the biggest sports fan in the world. I opened this club in the memory of both of [grandparents]. Thank you to the ACC, MLSE, and Ferris.#SherClub #6Side #fightNight."

Recently, Drake got dissed by Madonna after their onstage kiss at Coachella. Speaking in a 20-minute video for "Saturday Night Online Live with Romeo", the songtress said after being asked if Drake was a decent kisser, "You asked the million dollar question. I kissed a girl, and I liked it."

Madonna continued poking fun at the 28-year-old star. When she was asked what advice she would give to her younger self, she answered, "Don't kiss Drake. No matter how many times he begs you to." No comment has been made yet by both Drake and his representative on the remarks.
