Mariah Carey has officially announced "#1 to Infinity", her new album which will accompany her Las Vegas residency. A few days ago, the diva set a countdown that ended on Sunday, April 12 with the revelation of the record's artwork.
A re-issue of her greatest hits collection "#1", the upcoming project still has no release date. Its cover art features an image of Carey flaunting major cleavage and her long legs in a mini black dress teamed with a pair of black heels.
"#1 to Infinity" will feature all 18 of her chart-topping hits as well as newly-recorded music. It marks Carey's first release to arrive since she joined Sony Music's Epic Records earlier this year to reunite with L.A. Reid, the man behind many of her most successful albums including 2005's "The Emancipation of Mimi".
Carey's Las Vegas residency is scheduled to start on May 6 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. While gearing up for the forthcoming shows, she recently split from her longtime publicist Cindi Berger and replaced her with Chris Chambers. She also hired TV producers Brian Sher and Stella Bulochnikov to serve as her new managers.
