Jamie Foxx is under fire after making a joke about Bruce Jenner's gender transition during his monologue at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday, March 29. The 47-year-old actor made fun of Bruce's transition to a woman after taking a jab at Suge Knight.
Jamie told the audience at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium, "We have some groundbreaking performances here too tonight. We got Bruce Jenner, will be here doing some musical performances. He's doing a his and her duet all by himself. Look, I'm just busting your balls while I still can."
Some Twitter users accused the "Django Unchained" actor of transphobia for his joke on Bruce. Perez Hilton wrote, "Boo! Shame on you #iHeartAwards for allowing @iamjamiefoxx to be transphobic on national television! Those #BruceJenner jokes were wrong!!!" Luigi Mondi posted, "@iamjamiefoxx making transphobic jokes at Bruce Jenner's expense while Kylie is in the audience? Grow up & educate yourself. #iHeartAwards."
Angela tweeted, "Seriously #JamieFoxx? #BruceJenner jokes? You're disgusting, that's not ok. It wasn't funny, just mean spirited and lazy. #SupportLGBT." CHAD posted, "Jamie Foxx making jokes about Bruce Jenner being transgendered was absolutely rude. NOT. FUNNY. AT. ALL," while Loki's Banphrionsa wrote, "Jamie Foxx's transphobic jokes at the iHeartRadio about Bruce Jenner were gross, glad they didn't garner much laughs."
Jamie hasn't commented on the issue yet.
