50 Cent Wants to Sign Zayn Malik to His Record Label and Mentor Him

The rapper has expressed his desire to sign the One Direction member to his G-Unit label and 'have him working with the biggest rappers on the planet.'

50 Cent will "happily" help Zayn Malik launch his solo rap career. The hip-hop mogul expressed his desire to make the One Direction hottie his protege as he recently talked to British newspaper The Sun.

"If Zayn wants a rap career, just because of who he is, he is going to sell records. But if he wants to be credible he has to be with the right people," Fif told the newspaper and said that he'd be pleased to have Zayn among the artists of his G-Unit label.

"I'd happily sign him up to my label, mentor him and have him working with the biggest rappers on the planet," he continued before adding that he's also keen to work together with Zayn's current mentor Simon Cowell. "I have always wanted to work with Simon so this could be a joint venture," he explained.

There have been rumors claiming that Zayn's pursuing solo career. Amid these speculations, Naughty Boy recently said that he'd make music together with the 22-year-old singer. "Zayn is going to feature on my next album," the British producer told The Sun earlier this month.

However, Naughty Boy didn't think Zayn would leave his One Direction mates. "We're making music and having fun," the DJ continued. "This is just like a side gig and I don't think there's anything wrong with it."

"It's a good time for Zayn to showcase what he can really do. I don't think that is being fully exploited with the band because there are five people and it needs to be balanced out," he added
