Willie Nelson was one of the performers at a concert to honor U.S. troops held at the White House earlier this week. During the encore of his set, the singer invited President Barack Obama to join him for a performance of "On the Road Again".
"Willie says I'm going to have to sing with him, so I'll try it out," Obama said before starting singing with Nelson in front of hundreds of service members. The performance was a little awkward since the president didn't appear to know many of the song's lyrics.
The concert was a part of an event called "A Salute to the Troops: In Performance at the White House" which was broadcast on PBS stations. It also included performances from Mary J. Blige, Common, Romeo Santos, John Fogerty, active duty military members as well as a set by Daughtry who appeared via satellite from Japan.
