Big Sean Signs Management Deal With Jay-Z's Roc Nation, Promises New Music

The Detroit rapper, who was previously managed by Kevin Liles of KWL Enterprises, will still release his upcoming third album under G.O.O.D. Music.


Big Sean is the latest addition to Jay-Z's Roc Nation family. The announcement was made on Thursday, September 11 by Roc Nation via their official Twitter, Instagram and website. "Welcome to the Roc Nation family Big Sean," they wrote alongside a photo of the rapper. 

According to some reports, Sean is still signed to G.O.O.D. Music label while the Roc family will help handle his management duties. The Detroit rapper, who was previously managed by Kevin Liles of KWL Enterprises, joins a roster that includes the likes of Rihanna, Shakira, Timbaland, Meek Mill, HAIM, DJ Mustard and Santigold. 

After Roc Nation announced his signing, Sean took to Twitter to tell his followers that his new music would come on Friday, September 12. The new project is expected to be featured on the Detroit spitter's third album that's currently still in the works. 

Earlier this year, Roc Nation partnered with Kanye West's DONDA company to handle Yeezy's international recording brand and worldwide touring ventures.
