clears the air
The
internet has been abuzz with rumours of Burna Boy leaving Aristokrat Records
and being banned from entering the UK amongst other things. The “Run My Race”
hitmakers management however has quickly addressed the rumours and labeled them
as false. Yesterday they released and official statement dispelling all the
stories. Read it below:
The negative stories that are being circulated about Burna boy are malicious and orchestrated to tarnish his brand. Our position as Burna Boy’s management and label has always been to ignore negative press and let everyone have their say, in this instance; we have decided to address these accusations once and for all. We will no longer comment on any such issues after this.
1. Burna Boy has never been deported from the United Kingdom
2. There is no 15 year ban placed on Burna Boy
3. Burna Boy was never involved in, arrested or convicted for stabbing anyone to death anywhere in the world
4. Burna Boy was never involved in, arrested or convicted of credit card fraud or money laundering.
Finally Burna boy still remains under contract with Aristokrat records and there are no discussions of early termination. We are proud of his achievements and we’ll continue to play our role in his career for as long as possible.
He looks forward to being allowed to focus on the business of making the music you have come to love me him for, in peace. We thank you all for your continuous love and support. Management
