Kim Kardashian to Take
Kanye West's Last Name After Wedding
On the red carpet of her birthday party at Tao in Las Vegas, Kim says that she will take her baby daddy's last
name and make Kardashian her middle name.
Kim Kardashian said that she wanted to take Kanye West's last name
after getting married. The 33-year-old reality star made the revelation on the
red carpet of her birthday party at Tao in Las Vegas last week,
telling E! News that she would make Kardashian her middle name.
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star also talked about her surprise
engagement which took place at San Francisco's AT&T Park on her birthday.
"I cried afterwards. I was shaking. And when you're like, 'Is this really
happening?' But you're just shaking... I honestly had no idea, none
whatsoever," she said.
"I knew we were going to San Francisco for my birthday, because he
had a show there the next night. So I thought it was just a birthday dinner,"
Kim continued. "My eyes were closed and then I got up and I still the
whole time I didn't think it was a proposal. I thought it was dinner
on the baseball field and we had a nice orchestra. I still didn't get it...
when he got on his knee, I kind of figured out what was going on,"
the mother of one, who admitted that she left the wedding plan to her
baby daddy, added.
In a separate interview, the "Black Skinhead" rapper hinted at what
to expect from his wedding with the reality star. "Two words. Fighter
jets," he told Big Boy Neighborhood as he stopped by Power 106 radio
station on Monday, October 28, adding that he and Kim probably would get
married sometime "next summer."
"I gotta apologize to the race of males for turning it up so much,"
Kanye said of his lavish proposal. Kanye actually prepared three different
rings prior to the proposal and the 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring was chosen
the night before.
"I wanted to marry that girl from the first time I saw her. I just had to
wait through a bunch of relationships to finally get my chance... It's just patience.
You know with certain things, you're like, 'Yo, this is what's right for me,
and this is what I should be doing.' And you gotta be patient," the rapper
told Big Boy.
