Tyler James Williams will play a character named Noah, which does not exist in the comic books.
Tyler James Williams, best known for his comedic roles on "Everybody Hates Chris" and "Go On", has landed a role on "The Walking Dead" season 5. The actor will play a character named Noah, but other details about the role are not available. The news comes after Williams was spotted on the Atlanta set of the zombie drama series last month.
There's no character named Noah in Robert Kirkman's comicbook series on which the show is based, but there's Noah Cruz in the prequel videogame "The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct". The TV series previously also featured a character named Noah (Parker Wierling), who was a teenage resident of Woodbury led by the Governor, in season 3.
Williams joins "The Wire" alum Seth Gilliam, Andrew J. West, Alanna Masterson and Christian Serratos who are added to the cast for the upcoming fifth season. The show returns Sunday, October 12 at 9:00 P.M. ET on AMC.
Williams played Chris Rock on The CW's comedy "Everybody Hates Chris" inspired by Rock's life as a teenager in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York City. The show ran for four seasons from 2005-2009. The 21-year-old actor has guest starred on "Saturday Night Live", "House M.D." and "Key & Peele", and had a regular role on Matthew Perry's sitcom "Go On".
